It’s on again, The annual free boat trip for families with seriously ill children are one again invited to take part in a great fun-day out on the Clyde River, courtesy of The Batemans Bay Gamefishing

Yurana is once again hosting a free Xmas Luncheon for anyone who would otherwise be without their families on Xmas Day, Mollymook Surf-Club is the venue, Free roast dinner, entertainment, presents and a visit from Santa are just some of the things to look forward to. Book early to ensure of a seat by phoning Yurana  44541700 on Monday or Thursday between 10am and 12:30pm

Almost heading into the festive season.  There are still a couple of homes vacant for the Sept. school holidays and anyone who has a sick kid, is welcome to enjoy a no-cost holiday. Volunteers will be taking bookings for the X-mas holidays soon, and details are available by calling  the office Monday and Thursday between 10am and 12pm. The new cubby at Ambers House has just been finished and should give guests a truly weatherproof  all-season cubby. so don’t delay be the first to test-run the refurbished new play area.

Yurana has been able to look after a good number of new and previous guests since Xmas holidays and we’re now entering into our quieter period. This means that there is ample vacancy until the next school holidays. Meanwhile we’re still assisting Shoalhaven Interchange in providing short term accommodation for their carers. We’re awaiting quotes to update Kate’s House to provide more weatherproof space outside, as well as additional storage for surfboards etc.

Next month will see us having  our annual General Meeting to elect new office-bearers.

Ambers house is now going to get it’s new cubby after the next school holidays and should be finished well before Xmas.

Just in time for the X-mas holiday period. Kate’s house now has a brand new cubby. Yurana’s on-going  upgrade of its homes and play equipment now adds another great cubby to our 2 others, with only Ambers house now awaiting a make-over for its cubby. This will probably take place mid-year to minimise interruptions for guests staying with us. Meanwhile bookings for Easter are progressing well and plans are afoot for this years mega boat trip courtesy of the Batemans Bay Gamefishing Club.   TG

Yurana’s latest Christmas luncheon was once again a great success. In all approximately 100 meals were served. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out. Special mention goes to The Entertainers for once again pitching in to provide our guests with a wonderful array of Xmas Carols, Tony Turner our musician who played throughout the whole day, Keith our new chef who excelled and the kind members of the Rotary Club for providing service at our bar!
