Yurana’s president for the last couple of years, Roy Lombardo has resigned from Yurana to move closer to his family. Roy has been an excellent president and never failed to give his all to our charity. His health has deteriorated of late and he currently is still in Nowra Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him and wife Gloria.

On a happier note Yurana’s Holiday homes are fully booked for the Easter holidays and Ulladulla will be a great place for our guests to relax and unwind. The Blessing of the Fleet and all the associated attractions will certainly entertain and amuse those families staying with us.

Families wishing to book a home for the June holidays would be well advised to book early as places are limited.

May 13th will see Yurana volunteers hosting Australias Biggest Morning Tea at Ambers House 25 McKail St. This should be another great day with this years theme being Asian orientated. More details soon

Yurana volunteers once again hosted Ulladulla’s free Xmas lunch for persons alone at this time of the year as well as the families staying at either our permanent accomodation or the cabins at the Headland caravan Park. The day would not have been possible without the help of local residents who donated their time on the day to make this a great day for all. A special thanks to the entertainers and the wonderful work carried out by Yurana’s Dorothy and Barbara for the long hours put into planning and organising this event.

A happy and healthy year ahead to all involved and Santa will see you again at the end of this year. Families wishing to stay with us over the Easter holidays would be wise to apply for free accomodation early as bookings are already being taken

Our X-mas lunch at the brand new Ulladulla Surf Clubs function room is the venue again this year, where Yurana volunteers give something back to our local community in recognition of the large part they play in allowing us to continue to supply holidays to seriosly ill kids. So on X-mas day 25th Dec. if your’e on your own either by yourself or as a couple or family and you would like to join us for a free lunch with entertainment, Santa and some small gifts give our office a call and we will either have you as our guest or if you are not able to attend, our volunteers will bring your meal to your home or we can arrange for someone to pick you up and provide transport back. Mean while all the best for the coming holidays

Last saturday saw Yurana Families and Yurana volunteers venture south to the Bay for the annual BIG FUN DAY. Those generous  boys and girls excelled themselves this year and in spite of the inclement weather we all had a fabulous time and we’re all looking forward to next year.

Meanwhile Yurana’s mighty BIG GARAGE SALE is on next saturday and our organiser Eva has got heaps of great stuff to sell. If you’re looking for a bargain come to Ambers House McKail St. Ulladulla this Saturday 23rd Nov.
